The Journey
God has called us to be a city church, and we have been blessed to operate from our property in the heart of our city for almost 5 years in our own auditorium and offices. To make this possible we had a generous investor who purchased the property for our use, and many faithful partners who generously and sacrificially contributed to our refurbishment project. This facility has been a tremendous blessing and a strategic opportunity for us to have a church home in the heart of our city from where we can proclaim Jesus!
The Opportunity
As of the 1st July 2011, our investor and his wife will generously allow the church to take full management of the facility and therefore the full income from the commercial properties. This will allow the church to begin repayment of the $6 million the investor now has need of. This will not only provide expansion potential for our church home, but give us rental income and permanent security in the city for the future.
The Facts & figures
Pastor Richard has been able to secure an arrangement that would see us be able to pay this over seven years.
- The minimum payment would be $5000 per week. This is easily achievable from the rents received from the commercial tenants.
- Extra finance can be accumulated towards retiring debt through savings, efficient management, cost reductions and planning. This could also contribute another $1M over the next five years. (These figures are conservative and based on the last five years commercial income).
- Additionally, we are able to offer you the opportunity of partnering with us in this vision through tax-deductable donations and interest-free loans.
The Future
The greatest gift we can leave the next generation is a legacy of income. Once the $6 million is repaid, the church will have an income of $500 000 a year that can be used to build orphanages; feed the poor and meet the needs of our community, which we are not fully able to do at this time.
The Now
It is time to move in faith now: it’s time to step through the door that He has opened.
Will you become a SURFCiTY LEGACY PARTNER and hand the next generation the legacy of a secure future. Giving is tax deductable.
How do I get involved?
1. Make a one-off Donation – At the end of financial year there is a great tax advantage to making a one-off donation to our building fund. Talk to your accountant today and see how your donation can benefit the lowering of your taxable income.
2. Provide an Interest free loan – Providing us with an interest free loan is another way to significantly contribute to this project. For more details on Interest free loans contact our office on 5554 3900 or email info@surfcity.org.au.
3. Donate on a regular basis – A great way to make a big difference is a little bit at a time. A small amount every week soon adds up to a significant contribution annually. Your regular and ongoing giving will allow us to step closer to our goal.

“And the Lord says, I want you to extend your faith, even stronger says God. For the season has arrived. The season is upon you – even for stepping out in greater faith – into taking greater steps of faith. For the Lord says I’m going to ask you to take risks in the days ahead. . . . there are going to be things that are going to come along your path, and the Holy Spirit is going to ask you and invite you to take a step of faith. And there will be no hesitation as you gather with your leaders – as you gather, there will be a knowing in the spirit. And even though in the natural it seems impossible but in the supernatural, God is going to totally make it possible. For God says, it is time with strength, it is time to build with power.”
“There’s going to be increase. There’s going to be such a gathering of the broken, such a gathering of the distressed, such a gathering of hopeless – that even seem hopeless – cases to people on the outside. But you’re going to become like a fountain of blessing in the city. You’re going to become known as a place where the broken can come and they can find their God. And you’re going to be known as a place they can trust. And you’re going to be spiritual parents that are going to be known. . . “
